[Guest Blog] Coworking at the Two Twenty
I joined The Two Twenty community a few years ago when Lux Events outgrew my home office and I can’t imagine not working there. As a small business owner, the networking and support system is so valuable to me and is something you just don't find when you work by yourself or with a few staff. So many times I’ve popped down to MJ&Co. to run a business idea past Matt or to UnInk to ask Dustin a social media question. Not to mention, it is in the heart of Riversdale and so you have the best lunch options (GUD Food Truck, Thrive Juice, Odd Couple and Hometown Diner just to name a few) and great shops like Green Ark are just next door for a great distraction. Myself, and OCM blogmates Erin Crooks, Holly Decker and Susan Busse have also worked at The Two Twenty and I’ve loved getting to know them prior to writing together here. The features I love most about the 220 are their boardrooms which I love for design presentations for wedding clients and hosting my corporate client meetings there. It is such an inclusive community and everyone is so friendly. Collective Coffee is right there too and I am now officially a coffee snob because their coffee is just that good!
More details from The Two Twenty's community manager, Shannon: The Two Twenty is Saskatchewan’s first, and largest, coworking space. Since opening its doors in the spring of 2010, it has become home for many of the city’s creative and progressive industries and businesses. At the very core of The Two Twenty's philosophy, is the belief in the power of community and a love of urban lifestyles. Members of The Two Twenty operate from core values of respect, trust, collaboration, and openly sharing ideas and information. It is an environment that facilitates meaningful connections, stokes the imagination, and leverages the power of community to foster an enhanced working environment; an environment that is a great fit for today's mobile workers, freelancers, non-profits, entrepreneurs, artists, and small business owners.
We help businesses save resources by sharing resources. Building features: 24/7 access with security fob, secure high-speed internet, use of 3 meeting rooms, a nap room, complimentary house coffee, community kitchen, storage lockers, community bike, teleconference phone, two wireless xerox printers, AV equipment, and a diverse, inclusive community of young entrepreneurs, go-getters, change-agents and all around fantastic people!
There are so many great events that bring members together like Friday beers which I love to participate in ;). You have to follow the fun on Facebook. Message me with any questions!!
