SES wants to make a difference in the lives of all the people of Saskatchewan and ultimately all citizens of the globe through positive, thoughtful, environmental action.
The society does this in many ways already, from conducting awareness campaigns to informing policy makers with thorough, comprehensive research. Society members also visit schools and educational institutions furnished with presentations and workshops designed to environmentally engage the people of this great province.
That being said, all activity, either at individual or the organizational level, requires energy. In a more stripped-down way, it means all activity requires funds. As a non-profit organization, having access to adequate funds is a distinct challenge that SES faces.
Do you have experience in fundraising? Do you have insight into methods that may be more effective than others? Are you just plain passionate all things "environment"?
If that's the case, join us for the upcoming First Tuesday on June 4th, 2013, as we talk with SES members about what can be done rally financial support around a goal that affects us all: A healthy planet, today and for the future.
First Tuesday is a monthly meetup held at The Two Twenty at 7:30 AM every first Tuesday of each month. Discussion leaders bring a challenge to the group, and collaborative brainstorming ensues. First Tuesday is a free event, open to the public either as an attendant or as discussion leader. If you'd like more info, simply contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
